Recruitment Campaign Triggers £0.5 million investment
Despite the recession, recruitment figures at Rossall have been so good that they’ve triggered an investment on campus in excess of £0.5 million as the School has had an unprecedented influx of new pupils.
Rossall has been so successful with its drive for new pupils that it has been refurbishing accommodation and developing new facilities due to an oversubscription of boarders wishing to experience life on the coastal campus.
Projects
Astroturf
We have installed a brand new Astroturf. Partly funded by the Rossall Foundation, the new playing surface is a fantastic addition to the wide range of sporting facilities we are privileged to have here at Rossall. The new Astroturf is grass-based, rather than sand-based and underneath the surface boasts a bouncy new shock pad. The new floodlit Astroturf will be used all year round for hockey, tennis and football.
Boarding refurbishment
Due to an unprecedented surge in boarding demand, we have been refurbishing boarding spaces across the campus which includes the refurbishment of Maltese Cross house, as well as spaces in Mitre Fleur de Lys, Spread Eagle and an annex for Rose house. The boarding refurbishment has created an extra 50 rooms.
Science and IT department
The Science and IT department has had a face lift – window frames have been stripped and repainted with fresh paint, giving the whole building a complete new lease of life!
Gym
The refurbished indoor gymnasium, has improved our school sporting facilities immensely. With new walls, boxed-in pipes, flush-to-wall doors and a new lick of paint all of our students are delighted with their new gym!
