Entrance By Examination
11+ and 13+ Entry
Entrance to Rossall at either age 11+ and 13+ is based on successful completion of the School’s Common Entrance examinations and the receipt of a satisfactory report from your current school. Common Entrance examinations for 11+ and 13+ take place in the January prior to entry. Details of the Entrance Examinations may be found in our Entrance Examinations and Scholarships Booklet. Sixth Form Entry
Entry to Rossall Sixth Form for external candidates is based on 3 main components:
1. Achievement of a minimum requirement of 6 GCSE grades A – C, but candidates are expected to achieve at least a B Grade in the subjects to be studied at A Level or the International Baccalaureate.
2. A satisfactory report from your current school.
3. Successful completion of our Sixth Form entry examinations, either at Scholarship or General entry level. Sixth Form entrance examinations are usually held at the end of January, for entry in the following September. For details of our Entrance Scholarships, please click here.
Entry Into Other Years
Pupils wishing to enter Rossall into other year groups will be required to:
1. Sit a verbal and non-verbal reasoning paper.
2. Provide a satisfactory report from your current school.
3. Attend an interview with the Headmaster.
