Developed to provide an introduction to astronomy in an informal and fun environment, A Journey Through The Night Sky is open to groups of between 18 and 24 people and incorporates:
• A visual presentation on the subject of
‘Life, The Universe and Everything…!’
• A planetarium show of ‘A Journey Through
The Night Sky Season By Season’
• A Question and Answer Session
• Star Charts
• Refreshments
The event usually lasts approximately 2.5 hours and normally begins at 6.30pm/7.30pm although we can be flexible about the start time. Groups who meet in the afternoon can also be accommodated.
Groups wishing to book A Journey Through The Night Sky can choose from two refreshment options:
Option 1:
Refreshments consisting of sandwiches, crisps and biscuits, tea, coffee and soft drinks.
Cost: £14.00 per head
Option 2:
Deluxe finger buffet consisting of sandwiches, vol-au-vents, sausage rolls, quiche, pizza slices, selection of sweets and cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks.
Cost : £17.00 per head

Dr. Nick Lister, resident astronomer at the Centre and presenter of A Journey Through The Night Sky, has an enthusiasm for his subject that is simply infectious and all of the many different groups, clubs and societies that have visited the Centre since it opened in April 2005, have gone away inspired.
