Special Needs

Our Special Needs department aims to identify any child who may have Special Educational Needs. Where a particular need is identified, specialist teaching is given, usually on a one-to-one basis, and pupils may be withdrawn from other lessons for this. The main area of expertise is in supporting pupils with dyslexia and associated literacy difficulties but extra support in Mathematics can also be provided when needed.

The department team ensures that all members of staff are aware of each pupil's needs so that such requirements can be met in all school settings.
