ISC pupils live in modern boarding houses, a girls’ house and a boys’ house. The houses provide a family structure with lots of adult support to help you get used to life at a British boarding school. Both houses are staffed 24 hours a day. The houses operate in a friendly relaxed way, promoting the idea of community and respect. Pupils respond well to this, creating a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
The teachers in the ISC also supervise the houses in the evenings and at weekends. Therefore you will benefit by getting extra academic support as and when you need it in the evenings and at weekends. This strong pastoral-academic link also means that you become well known by your teachers, helping develop a very personal learning experience.
Weekends are busy with organised trips and activities. Organised competitions include table tennis, chess, basketball, and tennis. Rossall is within easy reach of Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Chester, York, the Lake District and the North Yorkshire Moors allowing for a varied mix of cultural, sporting, tourist and shopping trips.
