International Study Centre Facilities

The ISC is situated at the heart of Rossall’s beautiful 160 acre campus, reflecting how important the ISC pupils are to the School’s character.

The building has recently been redesigned to reflect the needs of our pupils. Classrooms are small and intimate because we only have ten students in a class, resulting in lessons that are aimed at individuals rather than classes. There is a reading library where you will be encouraged to spend time reading English for enjoyment. The building also has two IT suites with internet access. One suite is for IT lessons, and the other is for pupils or classes to do research or project work in. There is also an audio-visual room. The ISC is also able to use all the facilities in the main school. We are therefore able to use the well equipped laboratories for Science and the wonderful art studios for Art.

Each house has a communal dayroom, where you can socialise with other house members or guests to the house. In the boys’ dayroom there is satellite TV with a DVD player and music system. The room also has two pool tables, and a table football table. The girls’ house also has satellite TV, a DVD player and a music system. This dayroom has board games, and a small library. Internet access is available in both houses.

Each house also has a small kitchen for making light snacks and hot drinks, however we expect all pupils to attend all meals in the dining room to ensure that you have a good diet.
