It’s in the early years that children develop their first, all-important perspectives on the educational process and – crucially – this experience forms the basis for their approach to future learning.
By fostering positive attitudes towards every aspect of school life, we encourage our very youngest students to acquire an appetite for learning that will grow and mature as they progress through the school towards the fulfilment of their own ambitions and aspirations.
Whilst many of the children in Rossall’s Junior School progress logically from Infants, some also transfer from their local state school to enjoy the excellent advantages of life, learning and leisure on this exemplary campus.
Rossall Junior School offers your son or daughter the benefit of small class sizes, superb facilities and an extended day (if required) in a family-oriented co-educational environment. From the age of 7 upwards, your child also has the option to board in our Junior boarding unit, Anchor House, which caters for pupils from age 7-14, on a full, flexible or weekly basis. Currently 15 % of our Junior School pupils make use of Anchor Boarding House and this number is growing. The majority of pupils in Junior School are day pupils with an increasing number taking advantage of our flexi and weekly boarding offer as and when required.
