Nursery LEA Grants

All children of ages 3 and 4  in the UK are entitled to a grant from their Local Education Authority towards nursery education.

At Rossall, we apply on your behalf for the grant when your child reaches the required age and inform the LEA of the number of weekly sessions your child attends.

You will receive the funding in the first full term after your son or daughter's third birthday. So, if your child is 3 in November, your school account would be credited when the funding is received in February.

If your child attends the Nursery for 5 sessions or more per week, at the current rates, you would receive a credit of £533 per term (3 times per year, in October, February and May).  Children who attend less than 5 sessions per week have the funding calculated by the LEA on a pro-rata basis.

These figures are correct as at Summer 2007.

New
Fee Payment Option by Direct Debit

Several parents have asked us if we could offer the facility of payment by Direct Debit.  We have looked into this and we are pleased to now be able to offer this option to any UK bank account holder.

The Direct Debit would be taken no earlier than seven working days before the due date for the fee payment.  One payment for the full amount due would be taken per term.

If any parents wish to take advantage of this option, please contact Kirstie Allen on 01253 774233 or email KirstieA@rossallcorporation.co.uk for an application form.

NB If you currently pay by monthly Direct Debit via the Holmwoods Term Time Scheme, this will not be affected.

Mario: our new class photographer!

What are we up to in the Nursery?

It's always interesting to visit our Nursery and see what the children are concentrating on each week.
.
In this section, we will take a look at Nursery activities with the Red Group. They have been looking at different materials and construction! They have followed the story of the "Three Little Pigs" and made houses and picked up sticks outside and built walls with the big Lego bricks. All this along with dressing up has kept them happily busy.
.
It looks like Mario could be taking over the role of class photographer.

If parents would like copies of any of the pictures in our galleries, please email julieb@rossallcorporation.co.uk stating the page and the picture number and we will email a full sized version to you.
